No office hours are required. All of our lesson materials are provided, so our part-time teachers are not responsible for any lesson planning.
No grading is required. All grading is performed by our full-time teachers and support staff.

Schedule
Our lessons take place around the schedules of our students. Therefore, we arrange online classes during the following times:
Spring and Fall Terms
18:00-21:00 Fri, Sat, Sun (UTC+8)
Summer and Winter Terms

Lessons can be assigned during any of the listed times, but we try to work within the teachers' and students’ availabilities to set a time that works for everyone. Lessons scheduled back-to-back have a 15-minute break between them.
Course Description
Our CCSS Reading courses place a teacher with 4-8 students for focused instruction over 12 lessons. Each week during the summer semester, the class meets online twice, through the program ClassIn, for an hour-long lesson consisting of focused instruction on 1-2 Common Core skills, reading comprehension, discussion of the text, and vocabulary building. For each course, teachers develop comprehensive unit plans and lesson plans following Common Core State Standards for ELA.
Compensation
$105 (USD) for Type A lessons (New lessons)
This includes payment for the teaching of the lesson as well as for the time spent developing the lesson and its materials and providing feedback to students (lesson feedback & homework feedback).
$90 for Type B lessons (Lessons developed by another teacher)
This includes payment for the teaching of the lesson as well as for the time spent reading through and changing the previous teacher's materials and providing feedback to students (lesson feedback & homework feedback).
$70 for Type C lessons (Lessons you have previously taught)
This includes payment for the teaching of the lesson as well as payment for the time spent providing feedback to students (lesson feedback & homework feedback).
Remuneration is paid in USD through direct deposit on a monthly basis between the 10th and 12th of the month.

Job Responsibilities
Our Large Group Online Courses place two teachers with a group of 30-50 students for a course of study. Each week, the class meets online on the ClassIn (classin.com) platform for one 90 minute lesson. Lessons are PPT based, including interaction with students through multiple choice activities and student-submitted written work – there is no direct oral interaction with the students.
The two teachers (or ‘presenters’), deliver the class together by having a conversation about the material, with one assuming a more teacher-like role, and the other a more student-like role. This keeps the class fun and interesting for both the teachers and the students.
Deliver entertaining high-energy online classes in a two-teacher format (individual teachers may be paired with a partner!)

Are you looking for an awesome new online teaching gig? JadeClass Education Singapore is hiring energetic, confident, and adaptable teachers for our on-line math program. In turn, we will provide you with the students, online-teaching tools, structure, and resources that you will need to teach with confidence.
We are looking for top quality teachers who can commit to a fixed schedule of at least two classes a week. We pay $75 for each 90-minute lesson (covering preparation and teaching time). The first time you teach each lesson, we might ask you to record a preview video (without students), for which we'll pay an extra $25.

Assistant Manager (Online Division) – Offline position based in Shanghai, China
Are you looking to move up from the classroom and join the managerial team of an expanding online teaching business in one of China’s first-string cities? JadeClass Education Singapore is currently searching for candidates to help us grow our online business. This position requires a personable and dynamic character capable of performing in a variety of teaching and support roles to join us at our offices in Shanghai. The ideal candidate would be expected to grow their role into a management position.Candidates must have a strong interest in:
Working in a serious and structured environment.
Working on a bilingual team (Chinese & English)
Taking on a variety of responsibilities depending on the current needs of the company.
Teaching, creating, and improving skills-based online courses at all levels (essay writing skills, literature analysis, academic grammar, etc.)
Interviewing, training, and coaching online teachers.
Working with support personnel to ensure high quality in online class delivery, marking of student work, class creation, recruiting, marketing, and more.
Candidates are preferred to have a background in:
Languages: graduates from Chinese universities / programs strongly preferred
Hard sciences, engineering, or math: logical thinking a big plus
Teaching: not only ESL or business English
Class Design: for use by other teachers
Training
Candidate must be prepared to:
Work a 40-hour week with paid overtime when needed
Work partial or full weekends (days off shifted to mid-week)
Make a multi-year commitment

Starting Salary and Benefits
22,000 to 32,000 RMB per month depending on qualifications
10 paid vacation days per year in addition to standard Chinese holidays
Annual travel reimbursement of up to 8,000 RMB
